My Approach
I believe that insight and awareness are the first steps to growth. Together we will take time to explore what’s happening both in your mind and in your body, creating space for clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
I draw from several therapeutic approaches. With CBT, we’ll look at the powerful connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, an invaluable tool that supports deep, lasting work both in and outside of counseling. From ACT, you’ll learn how to step back and observe your thoughts with mindfulness, connecting with your highest self and creating committed action guided by your closest-held values. My Person-Centered approach means that you will always be met with unconditional acceptance, empathy, and authenticity; I will do my best to see through your eyes so that you feel fully understood and supported.
I also bring in Polyvagal and somatic work, teaching you how the autonomic nervous system shapes the ways we feel and function. Understanding how your body and mind interact not only influences your emotions, but also your physical wellness and sense of balance. This eye-opening perspective often uncovers a deeper capacity for self-understanding, resilience, and growth.
Diversity & Belonging:
A Place for All
I warmly welcome individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions. This is an affirming space where you can bring your full self without fear of judgment. I celebrate the richness of diverse identities and experiences, and I am committed to providing care that is respectful, supportive, and empowering.
I believe that mental health is deeply connected to the systems and communities we live in. I stand against racism, oppression, and inequality in all forms. I strive to create a space where every person is valued, seen, heard, and respected.
I honor the Indigenous nations whose ancestral land I live and work on, recognizing their ongoing presence, wisdom, and culture.
